2WIRE Decoder Module
Underhill International recently introduced its 2WIRE Decoder Module, which is fully compatible with Hunter Industries’ new ICC2 commercial controller, expanding its capabilities to two-wire operation. The 2WIRE Decoder snaps directly into the controller module slot and converts an ICC2 to twowire operation for new irrigation installations or hybrid multiwire/ two-wire system expansions, the company says. Underhill 2WIRE Decoders work with all ICC2 models, including plastic, metal and pedestal cabinets, according to the company, and they can convert the 32-station ICC2 to a 48-station, two-wire system. Standard irrigation wire can be used with this configuration (grounding isn’t required along the two-wire path).
Pro-Tech Manufacturing and Distribution’s Turf Pusher product line, designed for clearing snow from turf athletic fields, now comes standard with a pin-on coupler design, allowing users to swap out different coupler plates. To use, customers need to remove several locking pins on the rear of the Turf Pusher and switch out the coupler plate, according to Pro-Tech. This feature replaces the previous fixedcoupler design that was welded to the chassis. “This new feature benefits both our dealers and customers,” says Pro-Tech Director of Marketing Jered Shuknecht. “If the need to use different makes and models of compact machines arises, customers are now only required to swap the coupler plate instead of an entire plow.”
Equipped with updated controls and enhanced spreading features, the new SnowEx V-Maxx G2 hopper spreaders offer increased performance and operating efficiency for contractors and municipalities on large ice control applications, according to the company. A new, dual variablespeed control is more compact than on previous models, Snow Ex says. This digital, self-diagnosing unit allows independent adjustment of spinner and auger speeds, according to the company. It also includes an auto-reverse function to easily clear auger jams. The control requires a single, four-pin wire to enter the cab. The V-Maxx G2 lineup includes eight different V-box models, ranging in capacity from 1.5 to 6.0 cubic yards.
Titan recently expanded its PowrLiner series of line stripers with the introduction of the PowrLiner 3500, which features Titan’s PermaStroke Technology — no pistons, packings or clutch to replace, according to the company. Backed by Titan’s lifetime WearGuard Elite fluid pump warranty, the PowrLiner 3500 delivers desired results with very few inconsistencies, even on jobs that require highly precise application, Titan says. PermaStroke Technology delivers consistent pressure from 300 to 3,300 psi, providing performance even when using smaller tips. According to Titan, maintenance is minimal with only two wear parts, the inlet and outlet valves, which are field serviceable and can be changed with common tools. The PowrLiner 3500 also holds less paint in the system, simplifying the cleaning process.
The recently-released ECO 600 topdresser attachment is unique in Ecolawn Applicator’s line of broadcast topdressers, according to the company. The ECO 600 uses PTO drive, precise zero-turn technology, improved visibility with frontal discharge and counterweight mechanisms for better weight distribution and stability, according to Ecolawn. These features make handling heavier products feasible without sacrificing maneuverability or ease of operation, the company says. Whether applying compost, sand, soil or a custom blend to existing turf, the ECO 600’s larger-capacity hopper (22 cubic feet) and out-front design allows users to broadcast bulk material in a 180-degree arc.
