Mirimichi Green Introduces Pest Control Products
Mirimichi Green is introducing a new line of pest control products that are all-natural and will control and kill pests. Mirimichi Green is offering four different formulations to their customers:

  • Mirimichi Green Pest Control – intended for treating landscapes
  • Mirimichi Green Growers Pest Control – intended for using in gardening and crop production
  • Mirimichi Green Irrigation Pest Control – intended for using in irrigation systems
  • Mirimichi Green Personal Repellent – intended for spraying on self

Mirimichi Green’s pest controls are known to be safe to spray around people, pets and plants, with an immediate re-entry time after the spray has settled, making it ideal for any outdoor area. The pest control line controls many of the peskiest bugs including, but not limited to: Mosquitoes, Fleas, Ants, Roaches, No-see-ums, Chiggers, Spiders, Mites, Whiteflies, and Aphids.

Mayo Field Awarded 2017 Minnesota Sports Field of the Year
Rochester, Minnesota’s Mayo Field was recognized as the 2017 Field of the Year by the Minnesota Park and Sports Turf Managers Association. This is the eighth consecutive year of the award sponsored by Turfco Manufacturing, which recognizes a Minnesota athletic facility for outstanding maintenance, aesthetics and overall playing conditions. The award was presented to city of Rochester Parks and Recreation employees John Munson, Andy Olson, Jordan Kuzma, Nathan Siebrecht and Nick Lewison during the MPSTMA’s annual meeting on Jan. 2.

Echo Means Business Announces Winner of 2018 Major League Baseball All-Star Game Package
The web site ECHOMeansBusiness.com announced the winner of its 2018 Major League Baseball All-Star Game Package. Ron Coleman, owner of Greenscapes OH, won a trip for two to the Washington DC game next July. ECHO Means Business (EMB) is a web portal, for professionals by professionals, sponsored by ECHO Inc. ECHOMeansBusiness.com is a resource for all grounds professionals to build the community and network to grow individual greenscape businesses. EMB was launched in April of 2017 with the help of the User Advisory Group (UAG). As a launch component of the portal, registrants to the site were eligible to win daily, monthly and weekly giveaways. Each member who participated in different features of the website were entered for the prizes, one of which included an MLB All Star Game Prize Package. The trip includes airfare, hotel accommodations near historical DC landmarks and tickets to the MLB All Star Game.  Along with Ron, Joe and Vince Coia from Ron’s dealer, Coia Implement, of Ravenna, Ohio also will receive the game package.

Sports Turf Managers Association Announces 29th Annual Conference & Exhibition Details
Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) announced details for its 29th annual Conference & Exhibition Jan. 16-19, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. Close to 50 educational sessions and panel discussions will include sports turf managers along with academic and commercial representatives from schools, colleges and universities, parks and recreational facilities and professional sports stadiums. With eight educational tracks, topics include turfgrass management, professional development, synthetic, pest management, industry developments, renovation, facility management and soil science.
