Dal Pozzo Joins Target
Chuck Dal Pozzo has joined Target Specialty Products as an account representative. He will be working with accounts in Los Angeles, as well as Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
Dal Pozzo, a licensed pest control advisor, has over 25 years of experience in the turf and ornamental industry. Before joining Target, he worked for Monterey Agricultural Resources. His professional affiliations include the California Associa-tion of Pest Control Advisors, the Sports Turf Managers Association and the Southern California Golf Course Superintendents Association.
Eastman Industries Acquires California Trimmer
Eastman Industries has purchased California Trimmer, Inc. California Trimmer, based in Fresno, Calif., has been manufacturing powered reel mowers for commercial and residential applications since 1935. Eastman, which manufactures hovering lawn mowers and commercial walk-behind push mowers, is moving Trimmer’s inventory and equipment to its manufacturing facility in Portland, Maine.
Weathermatic Buys Out Ecologic
Weathermatic, a landscape irrigation manufacturer, has reported the acquisition of Ecologic, developer of the RainBrain line of rain/freeze sensors. Ecologic’s manufacturing operations will move into the Weathermatic production facility in Dallas, Texas. Ecologic founder Dave Klever will oversee the transition.
CS Trading Acquires SISIS
CS Trading has acquired SISIS, Inc. from the U.K. parent company, SISIS Equipment Ltd.. SISIS turf maintenance equipment will be sold under the name SISIS Turf Equipment. CS Trading was founded by Ian Camp.
LidoChem Expands into Southeast
LidoChem Inc. Preformance Nutrition Division has expanded into the southeastern U.S. turf and ornamentals market with its line of agricultural, turf and ornamental fertility and disease control products. Glen Thompson has joined the company as southeast regional sales manager. He will be responsible for managing the sales for golf courses and sports fields and expanding the company’s network of local dealers. Thompson is a graduate of the Lake City Turf Management Program and has served as an assistant superintendent at various golf courses in the Carolinas.
New President for CGC and SPI
Commercial Grounds Care, Inc., manufacturer of BOB-CAT, Bunton, Ryan and Steiner equipment, and Schiller-Pfeiffer, Inc., manufacturer of Classen, Little Wonder and Mantis equipment, have named Pat Cappucci president of the affiliated companies. Cappucci has over 10 years of experience in the outdoor power equipment industry. AN engineer by training, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree. In his new position, Cappucci hopes to build upon the equity in the businesses and drive new innovation and growth in the enterprise.
Thomas Names Etholm President
Petter Etholm has been joined Thomas Equipment, Inc. as president and CEO, and has been appointed to the board of directors. Previously, Etholm was a consultant to the Thomas Equipment 2004 subsidiary. He was formerly the president of Cardsmart Retail.
Ariens Purchases Auburn Consolidates
Ariens Company has completed the acquisition of the former Auburn Consolidated Industries. The facilities in Auburn, Neb., have been renamed Ariens Company-Auburn Operations. Full-scale employment needs will continue to be assessed over the next several months.
