Edging Power

Turf Teq’s 1304 Power Edger is a self-propelled walking forward edger with a 10.5 hp Briggs and Stratton engine. The machine comes standard with an opening blade, and a variety of optional trenching blades are available. The Power Edger has a fully hydrostatic transmission with forward and reverse.

Spray Away

The 2008 Z-SPRAY from L.T. Rich features a GPS speedometer for ground speed and distance traveled; suspension foot plate; and enclosed, three-section, stainless steel boom that protects nozzle tips. A hinged kneepad provides access for maintenance. The unit has a spraying capacity from 72,000 to 200,000 square feet with adjustable fertilizer spreading from 3 to 25 feet.

It’s in the Bag

Tru Mark introduces two multipurpose sandbags. The 35-pound, interlocking barrier bag is designed for reinforced stacking, as well as holding equipment in place, such as a soccer goal. The bag is constructed of UV-protected, water-resistant material and features an inner bag to prevent contamination and spills. The 55-pound bag is designed as a doorway barrier.

Toro’s New Aerators

Toro Company introduces two aerators: ProCore 864 and ProCore 1298. The 864 has eight coring heads and is 64 inches wide; the 1298 has 12 coring heads and is 98 inches wide. Both are tractor-mounted, PTO-driven units that are designed for large-area applications.

Nozzles for Pros

Hunter Industries’ Pro Adjustable Nozzles have been redesigned and reengineered. The nozzles now throw water longer to eliminate short trailing edges. The nozzles, available in 8, 10, 12, 15 and 17-foot sizes, are color-coded by radius for easy identification.

Triplex Reel Mower

The Ventrac MR740 triplex reel mower, from Venture Products, has a 74-inch width of cut, variable speed hydraulics, standard back lapping valves and offset capability. The mower can be operated continuously on hills and slopes up to 30 degrees.
