John Deere recently introduced two new utility vehicles to its lineup: the gas-powered Gator HPX615E and the diesel-powered Gator HPX815E. The cargo box has removable sides and tailgate and a one-handed, pickup style opening. These new models handle more cargo volume, up to 16.3 cubic feet, according to the company. Additionally, the cargo box’s features allow it to transition to a flatbed. Both new models boast a 1,000-pound cargo capacity, 1,300-pound towing capacity and 1,400-pound payload capacity. John Deere also recently rolled out the new gas-powered Gator XUV835 and diesel-powered Gator XUV865 UTVs. The 54-hp XUV835 and 23-hp XUV865 offer tight turning and optimal weight distribution for off-road performance, John Deere says.
Toro recently introduced a power broom attachment for multiseason use. The power broom is designed for clearing snow off sidewalks and driveways, as well as clearing debris or dethatching grass. The 55-inch-wide power broom attaches to the GrandStand Multi Force stand-on mower, joining the 5-foot Boss snow plow and EZ-Vac powered bagger. “The new power broom helps [users] be more productive and gives them more options,” says Chris Hannan, Toro senior marketing manager. “[Users] can choose between either a snow plow or a power broom, depending on weather or the type of property they maintain.” Multiseason flexibility is created with enhanced hydraulics and a patent-pending movable front caster design, TORO says.
SnowWolf recently introduced its redesigned ProPlowFX, an all-purpose plow that works for both snow removal and light dirt moving/landscaping, the company says. The versatility of the ProPlowFX’s new attachment is made possible by a semifloating torsion system that provides infinitely variable down pressure and shock absorption, a trip-lock-out feature and a shorter blade-to-machine distance for greater maneuverability, according to SnowWolf. The ProPlowFX also features automatic oscillation, which allows the attachment to rise or fall up to 5 inches on either end so the plow follows the contours of the surface being plowed. The attachment is designed for use with machines that weigh up to 8,000 pounds and is available in 5-foot, 6-foot, 7-foot and 8-foot lengths.
Anuvia Plant Nutrients recently entered into an agreement with Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply to distribute Anuvia’s GreenTRX. This product is a high-efficiency, multinutrient, slow-release specialty fertilizer that delivers fast, deep greening of turfgrass while also protecting the environment, the company says. GreenTRX provides targeted plant feeding, releasing 65 percent of its nutrients in the first two to three weeks and the rest over the next six to eight weeks, according to Anuvia. Because it contains 16 percent organic matter, it also contributes to soil health. “The demand for a high quality, eco-friendly product that delivers excellent performance with environmental stewardship has been growing. This is a great new addition to Ewing’s agronomic product offering,” says Andy Keeton, Ewing National Turf products manager.
